This trailer was used on the base during the war. It used four B-17 tailwheels. These cowling panels were recovered recently from an air force dump. Checking the serials revealed they came from a famous 100th BG B-17 named "Silver Dollar". An aircraft jack stands near to the trailer. Up in the greenhouse on top of the control tower, a recent addition is this working wind speed and direction indicator.

A view along the 351st Squardon perimeter track, with the end of one of the secondary runways. My first, smaller 1/10 scale B-17 lives at the museum. Lyta with a B-17 main wheel. A plaque from the 351st site shows the 351st Bomb Squadron badge. It was removed when most of the base was demolished, and recently returned for display at the museum.
